Brightcove Emerges

Giving video producers a channel to their audience - International Herald Tribune has Saul Hansell's The New York Times article:
"'We are trying to create a new kind of online media distribution business that has the scale of Google, an Amazon or an eBay,' Allaire said. That may be a bit of bravado, but BrightCove has impressed some big companies, including Viacom, which is experimenting with its service.

'BrightCove is coming to the market at just the right time,' said Josh Bernoff, a Forrester Research analyst. 'Look at what Google has done to the world of Web pages - bloggers and others make money by having Google put ads on their sites. BrightCove may be able to do the same for video programming.'"
Wednesday - NY Times, Thursday - Web 2.0
