My Plans for SXSW
![]() I'll be heading down to SXSW tomorrow and am looking forward to it. I can't imagine how many people I'm going to meet there. Looking forward to meeting peole who have read Get Seen. I'd also like to record some interviews for the book's community site. I like Chris Brogan's post about meeting people at SXSW, where he says, I'm There To Meet You: I totally agree with the 'Say Hi" part. If you see me, say hi. It might be the only time we see each other. That's how it is at SXSW. TWO EVENTS If you want to make sure we get to meet, I've got two events that I am scheduled to attend: ![]() SuperMeetup! Where: Maggie Mae's Austin Gibson and Les Paul Rooms and Roof Deck 323 E. 6th Street Austin, TX 78701 When: Saturday, March 13th 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Who should attend: Digital Content Creators who work on a Mac and anyone and everyone who wants to learn something and meet people that are smarter than them. Food and Drink: Food (free) and Cash Bar will be available. Party, Network, Meet Philip Bloom & Steve Garfield and GET SEEN. ![]() Wiley SXSW Author Party Where: Cedar Door 201 Brazos St Austin TX 78701 When: Saturday, March 13, 2010 9:00 PM - 11:55 PM Austin's Cedar Door and Wiley Publishing have paired up to host 3 hours of free food and drinks in appreciation of both our social media authors and the fantastic group of fans and readers that support them. Find your way to the corner of Brazos and 2nd Street on Saturday night and celebrate with us! We hope to see you there! *Must be 21 to be allowed to enter. **Space is limited and a RSVP does not guarantee entry. SESSIONS I've made a schedule of sessions that I'd like to attend. ![]() This is a rought first cut on sessions. Please leave a note in the comments if there's a session you think I'd like. PARTIES I've overbooked. There are lots of parties happening at SXSW and this year there seem to be more than ever. I usually have some rough plans made out, then follow the crowd and Scott Beale. I'll also be tracking Gary Vaynerchuk to see where his wine party happens. If I don't die out, some nights I'll end the night at the Gingerman. Here's a quick cheat sheet: Friday: Nokia, 140 Conf, TechSet, Ustream. Saturday: SuperMeetup! and Wiley Author Party Sunday: Powered, blip.tv Pepsico, MashBash Monday: Indie Gogo, Rackspace, Foursquare, Gowalla Hope to see you in Austin!
