#SXSW 2012 Film and Interactive Photo & Video Policies
There's some confusion about whether or not you are able to take photos and video at SXSW without a Press pass. ![]() Image: Old School Video Camera at #KODAK #sxsw I just looked up the SXSW Photo and Video Policies and all the restrictions mainly deal with Music. You can take photos and video. ![]() Image: Jeffery Tambor Acting Workshop Here's the SXSW PHOTO POLICY for Film and Interactive: Personal digital cameras ARE allowed at SXSW Film and Interactive events, provided photography is not disruptive. Registrants may take photos from their seats, as long as they are not standing in the press area, obstructing views, or using a flash after the panel begins.SXSW VIDEO POLICY for Film and Interactive: If you are granted press credentials by the SXSW Publicity Department, the following will be permitted with your credentials: news coverage of event activities, reviews, interviews, snippets of talks and performances. Video: MacGruber Cast Recreates Surprised Kitten Viral Video at SXSW 2010 In this video from SXSW 2010, attendee Dani Hill asked the MacGruber cast to recreate the Surprised Kitten video to make a new viral video. Everyone with a video camera shot video of it.
