Sunday Brunch: French Toast with Poached Egg, then a Potato and Bacon Slice of Pizza
French Toast with a Poached Egg at Regale Beagle in Brookline.
Amazing!
Seriously. This was super.
After brunch we crossed the street to take a look at OTTO, the new pizza place from Portland, ME. I'd seen it on The Phantom Gourmet and wanted to peek inside.
Well, they have pizza available by the slice, and had one with potato and bacon, so, I got a slice.
Also Amazing!

Samsung Galaxy Camera is Social with Instagram (EK-GC100)
When I first saw the Samsung Galaxy Camera (EK-GC100) at #SXSW in Austin, Calvin Lee was sharing a photo via Instagram from the camera! I was blown away. The display was so big and the fact that he shared a photo from the camera was amazing to me. So I ran right over to the Samsung pop up store and asked to evaluate one.
Now that I've been using it for a while, I can say that the photos shared from this camera, vs. the ones you see shared from an iPhone, really stand out. They pop with brightness and color.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera has WiFi built in, and you can add a data plan. I got a short term data plan from AT&T to help evaluate the camera, and it makes it very convenient to be able to share without having to hunt down WiFi.

Party Pics from #Austin2Boston. Original Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 photos
Here are some Party Pics from #Austin2Boston. I took these with the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 and it's inbuilt pop-up Xenon flash. Everyone was impressed with the softness of the light vs. the harsh light you usually get from on camera flashes. Seems to have red eye reduction too.
Note: I previously uploaded these photos to Instagram, from the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 via AT&T data plan. Wanted to let you see the full size versions to compare. The Instagram versions look like they were softened.

Had fun showing off the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 at #Austin2Boston.
Thanks to AT&T for the data plan so I could show off how you could take photos and immediately share them on social media outposts like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

Instagram is the first App I saw on the camera. An app on a camera? Crazy.
The big screen is nice. Plus the quality of the Instagram photos you can post from the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 at 16.3 MP is amazing!

Using Kies over WiFi to move Photos from Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 to Mac
I haven't heard of a way to use the native iPhoto on a Mac to import photos from the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 to a Mac.
I've already used the Samsung Kies Mac App and a USB cable to transfer photos.
Previously: Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 Kies to Connect
I just tried transferring the photos over WiFi.
Works easily.
Here are the steps:
On the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 got into Settings > Wireless and Networks.
SELECT Kies via Wi-FI
SCAN DEVICES and choose your computer.
Note: Both the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 and your computer have to be on the SAME WiFi network.
Once you are connected, use the Kies App to copy photos over.
Note: You have to use the Kies App SAVE menu instead of dragging and dropping. That needs to be improved.
Thanks @SamsungMobileUSA for the review unit.

Eliot School Jamaica Plain photos shot with Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100
The Eliot School:
The Eliot School inspires lifelong learning in craftsmanship and creativity for all.
We offer classes and workshops in woodworking, sewing and fiber arts, painting, drawing, photography and other crafts. Our School Partnership Program sends teachers to classrooms throughout the city, and we teach both adults and children at our schoolhouse in the heart of Boston. Children's art classes take place after school, on weekends, and in our Summer Program for Children.
Founded in 1676 as a grammar school, we turned our focus in the late 19th century to the manual arts. We are known today for our excellent faculty, welcoming atmosphere, small class size, and the charm of our historic site.
Located in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood, we are easily accessible by car and by T, with plenty of public parking nearby.

Jamaica Pond photos shot with Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100
I'm having fun taking the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 out with me. The picture quality is very good and with the 21x optical zoom, you can get some very nice close up shots. The panorama feature is fun to play with too.

Loon Mountain NH Skiing Photos with iPhone and Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100
Now I know why people are happy to find free WiFi when they don't have a phone. You can upload your photos via Instagram.
We went Skiing at Loon Mountain NH and I uploaded my iPhone photos over AT&T, and my Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC100 photos, via the Android Instagram app on the phone, via WiFi.
Note: What's really cool is that the Samsung Galaxy Camera also has an AT&T data plan, but it hasn't been activated yet on this demo phone.
Also shared to Flickr.

Tolls:
Obviously there's a huge difference in the photo quality between Instagram and the full resolution photos, but there's also a big difference in the quality between cameras when just looking at Instagram.
