Birch Street Bistro.
We went to California for dinner tonight.
Well it seemed like California.
Birch Street Bistro in Roslindale is an exciting restaurant we tried for the first time tonight.
The dining room and bar area look great, but we chose to eat outside since it was such a beautiful evening.
It turns out that the patio has been open since July. There was a nice cool breeze, interesting landscaping and nice music.
We started off with drinks. My wife ordered a Chardonnay/Muscat which was described as having a bubble gum finish. :-)
Of course I had to try the Hoegaarden on tap. There was a varied selection of beers both on tap and in bottles. I'll have to go back to try some more.
For dinner I had the Cod, and my wife had a salad with the Chicken Lolipops. Nice name. Both dishes were very tasty.
On our way out we told the owner that we felt like we were away on vacation.
What a great experience.
