ENIAC has no lights

I once went to a talk with Pres Eckert, one of the inventors of ENIAC, the first computer. It was for ENIAC's 50th birthday party at the old Computer Museum in Boston.

He told us that when the news people came to shoot film of the computer, the producers complained that there wasn't any action, so the technical team had to rig up a bunch of flashing lights for the film crew.

So when you see historical photos or films of ENIAC, you'll know that the lights were added to make the news report look better.
