Shepard Fairey Poster - Obey Giant - BU Bridge - Train Trestle - Charles River

Shepard Fairey's Obey Giant at BU Bridge on Train Trestle

Locating photographic evidence from the locations in the Shepard Fairey warrants:
Fairey was arrested on two warrants issued on Jan. 24, 2009, one from Brighton District Court and one from Roxbury District Court, Boston Police spokesman James Kenneally tells me. They charge him with damage to property by graffiti in two locations: (1) Massachusetts Avenue and Newbury Street and (2) a railroad trestle by the BU bridge (this seems to be an Andre the Giant poster on a bridge over the Charles River).

The Boston Herald reports more details on the Shepard Fairey warrants:
Cops said they tracked down Fairey’s signature tag - a portrait of famed wrestler Andre the Giant over the word “Obey” - at several places throughout the city, including on a Massachusetts Turnpike utility building.

After his arrest, police discovered Fairey had a default warrant dating back to September 2000 for failing to appear in court on a tagging charge in Brighton.
