James Bond Almost Killed Me.

James Bond almost killed me when I was little, maybe 7 years old.

My dad loved James Bond movies, so we ALWAYS went to see them in the theatre when they came out. EVERY time.

One time, when the movie had just started, my mom opened her pocketbook and asked me if I wanted a piece of hard candy.

Yup!

I unrolled the candy from it's noisy cover and popped it into my mouth.

After a short while the candy became lodged in my throat and I couldn't breathe!

I was gasping for air and we all rushed out of the theatre into the lobby.

My dad slapped me on the back a few times and nothing happened.

I still couldn't breathe!

So my dad picked me up by my legs and held me upside down and had my mom slap me on my back.

The sour ball popped out.

Whew!

I got some water and then we went back into the movie.

Since that day, if I ever eat a piece of candy, I chew it up right away.

SKYFALL

Of course, what triggered this memory, was seeing the new James Bond movie Skyfall in the theater.

I loved it.



You know how when you're in a movie and realize that you are sitting forward?

That was me in Skyfall.

You know how at the start of a 2 1/2 hour movie you wonder why is it so long and how an I going to sit through it?

And then, at the end of that 2 1/2 hour movie, the credits roll, and you say, "Wow! That time went by fast!"

That was me in Skyfall.

I really liked it.

There were lots of inside jokes for James Bond fans. I won't spoil the movie by repeating them here. I did a really good job of saying away from spoilers before seeing the movie.

You should too, if you can. ;-)

The entire body is based on a steel frame, almost identical to how vehicles were assembled in the past. Propshop Modelmakers Ltd The models were made to 1:3 scale. Once each of the pieces was printed, voxeljet shipped the parts to London, where the model builders painted them in the steel gray color of the original car and added chrome detailing to heighten the realism, including bullet holes, according to the site.

"I based my inspiration on her on the Chimera," Marlohe said with a warm smile. "I wanted to have that dangerousness spreading through her, but at the same time I wanted to create a real human being with a range of emotions and the inner struggles we go through as human beings.

"What is very interesting about life is that we put a social mask on. We don't reveal what we feel most of the time. It was very interesting to have that in the character so people could identify with her."

Whishaw says that he relished the role of Q. “It was such fun for me to play an expert in an area where I’m completely not an expert. I’m really hopeless with technology — I don’t even have a computer. But I had to reel off all this technological information as if it were second nature.
“It’s great to play someone who has this mysterious understanding of things that are so complex. I also really enjoyed his relationship with Bond. I’m very excited about future films and where we will take that.”

No way to change the sort. I'd prefer it to be sorted by time...
