How much water do we really need?
This eight eight-ounce glasses a day it turns out, after talking to the USDA, the National Academy of Sciences, the National Institutes of Health, people at various universities, they say, you know what, this appears to be kind of a myth. We can't find a single study that says that that's what people ought to do.

THE BACHELOR: Alex Michel was determined to live part of his life on television.
Shortly before auditioning for The Bachelor, Michel was among the last 50 contestants for CBS's Survivor: Marquesas. He did not make the final cut of 16. Michel says it sounded "like a great adventure," though he wasn't crazy about the idea of "starving to death."

PKZip.exe helps you unzip zipped files that you might download on the Internet. This version of PKZip is 2.63. It's an old version, but a good one. If you like it you can upgrade to the current version and pay some cash.

Since my PC recently crashed, I had to go find PKZip to unzip the preview of the new Blogging Book from O'Reilly: Essential Blogging. They put their book up on the web for free so we can review it for technical accuracy before it gets published.

That's cool.

"Copy-proof" CDs cracked with 99-cent marker pen.
This story talks about how Sony is copy-protecting their CD's so you can't copy the songs onto a computer or mp3 player.

Hello Sony... Now that I own an iPod, the only reason I purchase a CD is to use it as the transport medium to get the songs from the artist to my mp3 player.

I recently copied my whole CD library onto my Mac and then onto my iPod. Now I'm listening to my CD's again.

I just DJ'd a party using my iPod and some powered Bose speakers... over 5 hours of music and I didn't have to do a thing after pushing the play button.

Instead of making it harder to move music onto mp3 players you might want to consider making it easier for me to purchase songs online.

I WANT to pay for the music I listen to but you're not helping.

Best Star Wars Review Ever.

Lucas attains warp speed with fast-paced 'Attack of the Clones'.
The news about the new "Star Wars" movie, "Episode II -- Attack of the Clones," is mostly very good. It's exactly the big fix of Saturday-matinee adventure, blazing special effects, inside humor and sly self-references for which its fans have been lusting.
I cheered, I laughed, I cried, I clapped.

I thouroughly enjoyed Attack of the Clones. I saw it yesterday afternoon at the AMC Digital Theatre in Framingham. Digital movies rule!

All the coming attractions were digital too. I'll make it a point to go see digital movies from now on.
