TRICIA HELFER

Victoria's Secret model Tricia Helfer was born in Donalda, Alberta, Canada. The 1992 Ford Supermodel of the World winner and former Elite model memorably played a teen model who tries to cut off her own face in an episode of the hit series C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation.

New York Yankees coach Don Zimmer is thrown to the ground by Boston Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez during a fourth inning altercation.
I was driving in the car and heard a bulletin on WBZ, "Don Zimmer has just thrown a punch at Pedro Martinez, and Pedro has thrown Zimmer to the ground."

Whaaaaaaaaaaat!?

Then I saw the replay on TV and laughed out loud saying, "this clip is going to be replayed over and over again for at least 20 years."

Bill Simmons - Secret life of the Sports Guy.
The readers always ask what it's like to write for a TV show ... so I'll tell you. Just like with columns, you have good days and bad days. You learn that a room full of comedy writers is the world's toughest audience. You learn that farts are always funnier than any well-crafted punchline. You learn how an astounding number of things can make a difference between an entertaining show and a crappy one. You laugh a lot. You make fun of everyone. Everyone makes fun of you. None of it ever gets old. It's competitive as hell.
Hi Bill.
Warm Beer
Here's the original recipe:

Take three pintes of Beere, put five yolkes of Egges to it, straine them together, and set it in a pewter pot to the fyre, and put to it halfe a pound of Sugar, one penniworth of Nutmegs beaten, one penniworth of Cloves beaten, and a halfepenniworth of Ginger beaten, and when it is all in, take another pewter pot and brewe them together, and set it to the fire againe, and when it is readie to boyle, take it from the fire, and put a dish of sweet butter into it, and brewe them together out of one pot into an other

And here's the author's attempt at a modern equivalent:

3 pints beer
3 tablespoons sugar
1/8 teaspoon each nutmeg and cloves
pinch of ginger
2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Pour the beer into a saucepan. Add all the ingredients except the butter and simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and drop in the butter. Allow the butter to melt and serve immediately. Good for parties or on cold, wintery evenings.
Mmm... warm beer.

Intolerable Cruelty: Intolerable.
Bottom line: The Coen brothers go Hollywood and end up with a throw-away farce instead of a sparkling romantic comedy.

The Coen brothers had a golden opportunity to make a darkly humorous, deliciously clever battle of the sexes, and they let it slip through their fingers. Instead, the duo settled for a broad farce that is long on manic, cartoonish behavior and short on intelligence and wit. Given the palpable chemistry that exists between stars George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones, this proves doubly disappointing.
Intolerable Cruelty is no School of Rock. I've seen School of Rock and was totally engaged in that one from start to finish.

In Intolerable Cruelty I found my self wondering why they even wrote this movie. Catherine Zeta-Jones looks great, but I need more from a movie than just a pretty face. And George Clooney looks crazed throughout. Why this movie is getting good reviews is beyond me.
Welcome to Spackle.
This is just some designer guy's website.

I really wanted to say that my dad always told me to use Spackle to patch holes in the wall so I recently used spackle to patch a very large hole in the wall. (I found that previous link in this guy's house.)

Spackle is hard to work with over large areas and it's hard to sand down too.

So I learned that Joint Compound is a better choice for patching large holes in a wall.

Spackle is a band too.

What Wesley Clark Said.
STATEMENT OF GENERAL (RETIRED) WESLEY K. CLARK U.S. ARMY
BEFORE THE
HOUSE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE
UNITED STATES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

SEPTEMBER 26, 2002
If efforts to resolve the problem by using the United Nations fail, either initially or ultimately, the US should form the broadest possible coalition, including its NATO allies and the North Atlantic Council if possible, to bring force to bear.

Force should not be used until the personnel and organizations to be involved in post-conflict Iraq are identified and readied to assume their responsibilities. This includes requirements for humanitarian assistance, police and judicial capabilities, emergency medical and reconstruction assistance, and preparations for a transitional governing body and eventual elections, perhaps including a new constitution. Ideally, international and multinational organizations will participate in the readying of such post-conflict operations, including the UN, NATO, and other regional and Islamic organizations.

Force should be used as the last resort; after all diplomatic means have been exhausted, unless information indicates that further delay would present an immediate risk to the assembled forces and organizations. This action should not be categorized as “preemptive.”

General Gau's Chicken wasn't too spicy for me and the Coconut Ice Cream was amazing.

On my way out I stopped to compliment the hostess on the meal, and asked her if she was familiar with Kowloon. Big huge restaurant with a big thing on top that lights up at night? She said no.

Then I asked about Hilltop Steakhouse. Huge neon cactus, really, really high? Plastic cows grazing on the front lawn? Again no.

Then Prince Retaurant. Leaning Tower of Pizza? No.

Turns out that she just arrived from NYC and hadn't been to Route 1 yet.

So I plotted out a route for her to learn all about the classic places on Route 1 in Saugus.

The seemed excited to go eat Pizza in a building that has a replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the front of it.

Anyway, after telling her about the history of Route 1, I complimented her on the fine quality of their tea cups. They looked like they were brand new, as opposed to the tea cups you get at Kowloon that look like they've been used for over 50 years, are tea stained and scratched in every place.

So there you go.

First of all, how did he get out of Cuba with 132 computer discs in his garment bag without being checked?

Second, what's really on these disks? Are they really CD's full of mp3's? If so, maybe he was listening to Madonna's Secret?
