Canon unleashes cameras and FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)
Canon just released 7 new PowerShot cameras at the Photo Marketing Association trade show in Las Vegas.

Mars Rover: Disk Full Error. D'oh!
Technology, Java and the Mars Rovers.
The great news is that they have resurrected the Mars rover "Spirit". Turns out it was just a 'disk full' error. By deleting a bunch of old files they were able to reboot.It must be all those high resolution photos filling up some old 5 MB disk they've got up there.
My Date With Drew
Well, not my date. It's Brian Herzlinger's documentary of his attempt to get a date with Drew Barrymore.
Herzlinger's film My Date With Drew has been selected for the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival.

It's an Interactive Electoral Map
This Interactive Electoral Map shows you how the Electoral votes of each state come in to play when deciding the presidential election.
You can look at past elections and try and determine hte outcome of this year's election.
It's be a lot better if they did away with The Electoral College anyway.

I just grabbed a bottle of Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock. It's in a wine shaped bottle with a pewter label. Cool!
Tased it this summer at the brewery before it was available to the public. Looking forward to having it again.

Infocom made my kind of game.
Now I want to play Infocom games on OS X.
You could try to download some of them at Infocom Downloads but they seem to run on Mac Classic.
Zoom is a Z-Machine, which plays text adventure games written in ZCode. So with this option, you'd need to download some ZCode and then figure out how to run the game.
Since I'm looking for an easy way to get this done, I tried this site that says you can play the Infocom games online. Here the games run on a Java window. Too slow though.

Play The Hitch Hiker's Guide to The Galaxy Game Online - found over at [ Mindgazer ].

A Letter Home From Northeastern
Dear Mom and Dad,
Things are going really great here at Northeastern. All the guys in the dorm are really friendly. We always do stuff together.
After the Patriots won the Super Bowl, went went out to Kenmore Square to celebrate. Lots of kids did.
I really felt a sense of community when we banded together to overturn cars. Cars are heavy.
We needed about 20 guys to help. Lots of kids jumped in.
We also started fire with just the possesions we had with us. Kinda like Survivor. One guy even set his own Northeastern hoodie on fire to keep us all warm.
These guys are so generous.
Hope all is well at home.
