Tiki Bar TV

I just watched Tiki Bar TV.

Very funny.

No wonder why Steve Jobs highlighted it yesterday as an an example of a video podcast.

Subscribed.

Talkies

Talking Motion Pictures:
"'The advent of American talking movies is beyond comparison the fastest and most amazing revolution the whole history of industrial revolutions.' --Fortune Magazine, October, 1930"
Garrick says, if there's audio in your vlogs, we could call them "talkies".

Video Podcast?

Chuck Olsen questions the term video podcast in his post, APPLE IS VLOG-FRIENDLY:
"Please, Apple and the rest of the world: STOP USING THE TERM 'VIDEO PODCASTS.' That's as stupid as calling television a 'video radiocast.' Of course Apple is invested in pod-anything, but we don't have to swallow it."

Replace Stewart Simonson

MoveOn.org: Replace Simonson, Prepare for a Flu Pandemic:
"The Bush administration official in charge of making sure America is ready for a flu pandemic is a crony with no experience related to his job. Stewart Simonson is Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)—the Bush administration’s point man for a flu pandemic. But, Simonson has no public health management experience. He got his job because he is a close associate of former HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson. Will you urge that Simonson be replaced with a more obviously qualified person by signing our petition to Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt?"

It's like Adam Curry is blogging again

I'm a big fan of Adam Curry's Daily Source Code, but don't listen every day.

I usually save them up for a trip to the health club, a long walk or a weekend drive.

But now it's like Adam Curry is blogging again, and I can keep up with the shows by reading the Daily Source Code Shownotes online.

They are very extensive. That's because the listeners join in to add content and comments.

It's an amazing experiment and a good example of the collaborative power of people.

Look what happens when you open up the tools of creation. Synergy happens.

The attack of videoblogs: new reality shows of the Web

Here part of a Google translation of an article on videoblogging at clarin.com written by Eva Dominquez, El ataque de los videoblogs: los nuevos reality shows de la web:
“Somos medio”

(Talking about Rocketboom) Until the CBS it has dedicated a note to him . At the moment they have already seven correspondents in different parts from the world. One of them is Steve Garfield, that informs from Boston. Steve is a compulsive creator of videoblogs. In addition to his corresponsalía in Rocketboom, produces in its own videoblog pieces of all type and it promotes like adviser and producer of vlogs.

In one of its contraataca Steve pieces to a reporter of the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror that is making a survey. After responding, it removes its camera to him and it records to him. Overflowed, the journalist says to him: “No, does not go asi ' ". Videoblogger espeta him: “Lo I feel, now is thus. We also are the means, not only ustedes”.
Gracias.
