I'm using a clothes dryer outlet adapter to connect to my Volvo XC40 Recharge charging cable. I set the 'Current Limit (amps)" setting to 24. It charges at a rate of 15 miles per hour.
My electrician says, "It is safe to go to 24 amps, fyi. You will be good. 20 will work fine with that adapter. You can go 80% of the load, which is 24 amps."Labels

Charging an Electric Car via a Clothes Dryer Outlet Adapter
Volvo XC40 Recharge EV doesn’t have an AM radio!
Volvo XC40 Recharge EV doesn’t have an AM radio, but you can get AM radio like WBZ-AM via apps like iHeartRadio and TuneIn.
First At-Home Electric Car Charge
First at-home charge.
I used the supplied Volvo charger to connect to the standard plug in my garage.
“Domestic Outlet/Home Charging (Level 1):
A standard three-prong outlet with 110V/120V doesn't charge an electric vehicle at great speeds, but it's good for plugging your car in overnight so that it's charged in the morning. With level one charging, you can usually expect about 24 hours for a full charge to be complete.”
8 hrs = 24-40 miles. At best 5 mph.
I wasn’t ready to buy or lease an electric car, so I subscribed to one.
I wasn’t ready to buy or lease an electric car, so I subscribed to one.
Volvo lets you subscribe to a car at a fixed price without a long-term commitment.
That was perfect for me because while looking for a new car, I wasn’t ready to commit to an electric vehicle, but when I found out that I could subscribe to a car with a minimum five-month term, I decided to do it.
We got a 2023 Volvo XC40 Recharge TWIN AWD Ultimate. It’s all-electric. The subscription includes insurance, tire coverage, dents and dings coverage up to $1,000, maintenance, and 24/7 roadside service.
After five months, you can return the car, buy the car, or continue leasing it for a total of two years.
Now begins my personal experience with owning an electric car.

Anna May Wong to be first Asian American featured on US currency. Still needs numbers.
Groundbreaking movie star Anna May Wong to be first Asian American featured on US currency.
The only designation of the value on this coin are the words, "QUARTER DOLLAR".
Take a look at coins you've brought home from vacation. Most of them have numbers on them. Our coins here in the US should too.
And don't get me started on "IN GOD WE TRUST". That shouldn't be there.

I fixed some problems with page 5 of the Big Ass Fans Haiku L instructions.
Then, just before step number 4, add a step that says, “Pull down the wires”, because giving the wires some slack will make it a lot easier to plug in the wiring harnesses.

The figure may also resemble a queen court card from a deck of playing cards, whose imagery is often designed with stripes and banding creatively reversed on the same plane, bands of color are superbly controlled by the black or white striations to create a wonderful series of energetic patterns across the contours of the body, technique of red and green polarisation to add a further dimension of animation, construction of a Cubist sense of spatial depth, illusion of the two corners in the tightly receding room behind the figure, powerful body of Marie-Therese projects from the picture in sharp relief.

MidJourney - David Hockney’s Moving Whisps
MidJourney AI Art prompt based on museum description of David Hockney’s Moving Whisps:
“kaleidoscopic eruption of Fauvist-inspired color and line, abstraction and representation, painting for the stage and painting on canvas.
A swell of curved forms cleave together, unfurling across the canvas in an ebullient collision of mountains, hills and water, all almost entirely abstracted yet still tethered to the natural world. At the center of this compressed landscape is the titular moving wisp, dancing gaily in a saturated vermilion shading to light orange. Behind this focal point, a turquoise and cerulean mountain leans to the left against a torrent of periwinkle blue water that cascades into a waterfall of indigo and light teal brushstrokes. The turquoise mountain intersects with a smaller sister mountain, rendered in lush white and yellow impasto, abutted by a violet façade. Fields of fiery red and cool green extend from this second, smaller mountain towards the audience, drawing the viewer in with their dramatically sloped lines. The upper register of the painting features undulating waves of deep mahogany and orange, intimating rich California soil against a bay of blue water. Like the Impressionists, Hockney exhibited a fascination with the qualities of light, varying weather conditions, and the infinite renewal that the changing of seasons reveals in the natural world, all of which come to the fore in the present work: the silvery blue river, sun-dappled fields, lush vegetation, tilled soil, vertiginous mountains, and flower-studded meadows.”
Here’s the results after a few generations.
