Project Diary: Filming has started on our 72 Hour Film Project.

We're in today's Boston Globe in the Go section:
Marathon man
As a geek-in-training, we applaud the verve and immediacy of Boston artist Ravi Jain, who'll create a feature-length digital film at the Gallery@Green Street as part of the ''Cyber Lounge'' portion of the Boston Cyberarts Festival. Here's what tickled our interest: Jain will do all this in one 72-hour stretch that began at midnight to qualify for an international showcase of artists creating works under the same time constraints. Intriguing, yes? Check out his progress over the next few days.

Green Street Station, on the Orange Line, Jamaica Plain.
Update:
I got to the station at 4:30 AM and started off the day by doing a time-lapse shot over 20 minutes. After that, I filmed, while Ravi did man in the street interviews. We got some great stories from the commuters about what it means to them to have an art studio inside the train station.

We took a walk down the street and went into the Bread and Butter Bakery and interviewed the owners while they were baking! They were in the Boston Globe today too!
At 6 on a weekend morning, the smell of hot butter and raisins is creeping out over Washington Street. It wafts past a shuttered bodega, curls around the old brick warehouses and victorians in this hillside neighborhood in Jamaica Plain.
Mmm... good olive bread!
