Follow the Signs to AirTrain
Follow the Signs to AirTrain - Originally uploaded on flickr by stevegarfield.
On a recent trip to NYC I tried to find information about the AirTrain online. Other than the official AirTrain site, I couldn't find any really helpful information about the AirTrain. I wanted to know what it was like. So on my trip I took a bunch of pictures to share.
Here's the AirTrain station at the JetBlue terminal:
Here's what an AirTrain car looks like:

Here's the Jamaica Station sign:
Yesterday morning I saw a twitter from CC Chapman that he was taking AirTrain for the first time.
So I gave him a call on the phone and suggested he try the LIRR instead of the subway because, after my experience of a long subway ride, I heard the LIRR was the way to go.
I also asked on twitter and a bunch of people agreed.
CC rode the LIRR into Penn Station and it only took him 20 minutes for $7. Good deal.
