Campy Man from U.N.C.L.E. opens in the UK and US on August 14, 2015.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. movie used exposition to set up the plot where two no-name agents from the US and Russian band together to defeat somewhat Nazi allied villains who want to rule the world with the threat of atomic weapons.

Fans of the Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV show know the agents as Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, but younger audiences attending this movie will have to wait a while to figure out the character’s names, especially when Napoleon Solo keeps calling Ilya, Pasha. At least that’s what I heard.



Henry Cavill as Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer as Illya Kuryakin had great chemistry. When I saw Jared Harris, I thought, hey, that’s the English guy from Mad Men!

One upsetting part of the movie for me was when they used a photo album to show the atrocities that the former Nazi doctor did to Jewish concentration camp victims. That part went on way too long. We get it. The doctor was a bad man.

After the movie was over, I tried to describe it as a less serious Mission Impossible, or Matt Damon Movie, but then narrowed in on calling it campy.

It lived in between being serious and humorous.

At the end, there was a set up to make more. Let’s see if audiences want it.

Three Movies To Watch: Winter's Tale, Divergent, Snowpiercer

Winter's Tale - The horse in this movie is called 'Horse.'
I enjoyed watching Colin Farrell and Jessica Brown Findlay in this love story across time.



Divergent - You can't be expected to know what you want to do with your life when in College.
I expected this to be a rip off of The Hunger Games, but the story kept my interest throughout, and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series.



The Aptitude Test.

Snowpiercer - It would have been easier to buy a First Class ticket.
I heard extreme mixed reviews on this one, from LOVE to HATE. I loved it. Especially seeing all the different classes of train cars.

Plot Summary:

KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM follows three best friends (Peter Dinklage, Steve Zahn and Ryan Kwanten) and dedicated LARPers (Live Action Role Players) as they take to the woods to reenact a dungeons and dragons-like scenario fresh out of the mythical Middle Ages. Trouble arises after they unwittingly conjure up some serious evil in the form of a blood-lusting Succubus, from the pits of hell.

Fantasy and reality collide on the Fields of Evermore in an all-out epic battle of make-believe wizards, demons and assorted mythical creatures. Their courage and friendship is put to the test as they attempt to vanquish the evil they have summoned. Will the group prove to simply be foam sword-wielding LARPers, or true “Knights of Badassdom?”

The cast includes Peter Dinklage, Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn. Summer Glau and some fun cameos.



Peter Dinklage was VERY funny in this.

I loved Summer Glau in The Terminator, and it was fun to see her in this, including the times she used some swords.

It's a comedy horror story, and fans of The Walking Dead should enjoy it.

The time flew by when I watched it. Lots of humor, suspense, and gore.
