How To: Create a Blog

Creating a blog in blogger is one of the easiest ways to keep people up to date with what you are doing.

It's very easy.

First you need to create an account at http://Blogger.com

Second, name your blog.

Third, Choose a template.

The default templates aren't the most creative pieces of art ever designed, so you might want to use a custom template. The easiest way to do that is to choose one that's already been designed.

There are a few places I've found where you can find custom templates for your blogger blog.

Custom Template Examples

Good Reporting by Jonathan Kim. He used Falcon Hive: Linetech.

BTemplates: Free blogger templates for your blog.

Falcon Hive: Zinmag Remedy

This is the blogger template we used in class.

BTemplates: Not A Monster.

To get the template, click download.

Then in blogger, Go to Layout/Edit Html/'Upload a template from a file on your hard drive'.

Choose the downloaded file. Press Uplaod, then press save.

Here's the blog we created in class with the new template:

newenglanstories.blogspot.com

Note: Choose a new template before adding any widgets. If you have widgets, delete them, then choose a new tempalte. Clearing browser cache might also resolve any blogger errors.
