Dr. Katz Sees Patients in Boston.
I went to see Tom Snyder and Jonathan Katz last night as part of the Boston International Film and Comedy Festival.

The told the story of how the Dr. Katz show was created. They initially did it in an IBM PC and and now use Flash.

The funniest story was about their first sound booth. It was in Tom Snyder's pantry, in his house in Newton Mass. Steven Wright went there to record for the show. After emerging from the pantry he said, "Don't let the word get out about this because everyone in LA is gonna want a pantry recording booth."

Trust me, it sounded funny when Tom Snyder immitated Steven Wright.

No word on a DVD of Dr. Katz episodes though since Tom and Jonathan don't own the rights. Some kid in the audience siad he bought the complete Dr. Katz series on DVD over on eBay. That's not values based.

Johnathan is one funny dude!

He showed a few pilot episodes of series that didn't get picked up, and a few clips from Dr. Katz shows.

Good stuff.
