Rob Becker's Defending the Caveman.
Becker made me laugh until tears rolled down my cheeks. People were holding their sidesYup. Me too.
We went to see Rob Becker's Defending the Caveman at the Wilbur theater last night.
I was laughing so hard that I was crying. Rob Becker was so funny, that I wished he would just stop talking for a few seconds so that I could regain my composure. I think that my sides were actually splitting, I was laughing so hard.
I hadn't expected much going into this play. I figured I'd hear jokes about the TV and remote control, and about how women like to nurture the shows vs. men who like to zip through the channels really fast.
He did tell l that joke, but he also got to the bottom of the reason that I can't hear my wife talk while I'm watching TV.
This hunter attitude affects everything we do. When we watch TV, we become the TV. We merge with the TV. I’m aware of a buzzing sound in the background, and it’s not coming from the TV. It gets louder and louder and suddenly I realize that my wife is standing right next to me, shouting, “Haven’t you been listening to me?"It all has to do with the basic differences between men and women, and goes back to the caveman days.
Go see the play and you'll understand.
