Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino's top policy aide Michael J. Kineavy has been deleting emails for five years.
Here's what he did:
Kineavy has been “double-deleting,’’ or dragging e-mail into his trash folder and then emptying that folder every day, before the city’s computer system made an automatic backup at midnight.Oh oh.
On the good side, the Mayor hasn't been deleting his emails because he doesn't use email.
