PenReady - Import AVCHD Movies From: Apple Internal Memory Card Reader into iMovie

When you insert an SD card into a Macintosh, iMovie opens and allows you to import AVCHD movies. If you switch to MANUAL, you can mark the check box for movies that you want to import.

If this isn't working for you, you probably have an older version of iMovie.
