I came home and found it online, Budweiser's Brew Masters' Private Reserve:
"The first beer comes out of a long tradition among A-B brewmasters. They would make a special beer for themselves out of the 'first wort,' the first batch of liquid strained from the mash of malt and other grains. That works out to $1.83 per ounce. Seems high for a Bud.
Brewed from the richest part of the mash, the resulting beer has a stronger malt and hop flavor than other A-B products, said Guillermo Moscoso, staff brewmaster. It also has a higher alcohol content at 8.5 percent alcohol by volume.
'It's more in line with a European beer than an American lager,' he said.
The Brew Masters' Private Reserve is bottled in a 46.5-ounce 'magnum' bottle."
Update:
Just got back from Gary's Liquors. I bought a bottle! But it was $13.49. $85 was the case price.
Taste test result later...
