Wicked Awesome Boston List

Blue Mass. Group :: 101 Ways You Know You're from Boston: If...:
"98. Playing street hockey was a daily after school ritual.
99. Hearing an old lady shout 'Numbah 96 for Sioux City!' means it's time for steak.
100. You remember Jordan Marsh, Grants, Bradlees, Caldor, Zayres, or Ann & Hope."
I love this list.

  1. 100. Uncle Eph sez, "What about Raymond's?"

(also Jack & Marion's and Lechmere Sales)

  2. Wicked awesome indeed, though I'm embarrassed I only got 67 of them.

One I would have thrown in for the Worcester crowd: "You know to bring your own bags to Spag's."

  3. Jack & Marion's - heh. My parents actually went there on their first date. Screw Zaftig's.

  4. Oh, can't forget this one: you know it's absolutely mandatory to throw peanut shells on the floor at the Ground Round, particularly when they're showing Three Stooges flicks.
