Carrol, Great job putting your feet where your heart is.

Steve, I'm signed up for riding my bicycle 45 miles in the LiveSTRONG Challenge Philadelphia. LiveSTRONG also uses the URL system. Let me just say, it sucks. The URLs for the fundraising pages are extremely long and unwieldy. There has to be some kind of way for the various fundraisers using to get reasonable URLs to help drive online donation traffic.

I had to use tiny URL, but I shouldn't have to.

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm sure Carrol will do great.

  2. Hi Rebecca,

You are 100% right. The Kintera system is painful. Needs a total remake.

I sent the American Heart Association contact an email sharing the problems I had.

I think I'll send it directly to Kintera too.

    Here's what I wrote:

I just set up a donation page for my wife Carol.

The sign up process had some problems.

    Here are some thoughts.

    Direct link:

It was too hard to find out the direct link the the donation page. I might have seen a page with her name in at when I signed up, but I can't find that now.

    Where is it?

    Credit Card Failed:

When I first put in my credit card info there was a system error and I had to go back and enter everything again. That was bad.

    Event Info - No Date:

On the Event Info page there is NO DATE for the event:

    Social Tools:

Your social tools page doesn't have any social tools on it. I suggest adding a short URL for the donors page so people can repost it to all their social networks. There are too many for me to list here but the social tools page needs some help.
