Two Thumbs Down
Watching movies together - 1,300 miles apart - we share laughs, if not popcorn.
The movies are lined up almost perfectly. Lara Croft is wreaking havoc on my television in Somerville. Simultaneously, she is wreaking havoc in Winnipeg, Manitoba. "Got it!" my girlfriend, Jody, says through the phone from Winnipeg. At last, the movies are synchronized. "Are you two racing VCRs again?" her daughter, Meaghan, asks. Indeed we are. Despite the distance between us, we are both watching Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – together, so to speak.
