Steve TV II: HDMI - DVI Cable
I'm building Steve TV II and just bought an HDMI DVI Cable for $5.03.
Yay!
These cables cost around $100 at Best Buy and Circuit City.
I'd really like one of these that also has an audio in from a computer headphone jack.
That would be cool to be able to hook the DVI OUT and AUDIO OUT from my Mac to and HDMI OUTPUT.
Howard from Monprice writes in:
HDMI is a digital signal format. The 3.5mm mini plugs on computers output
analog signals. You can not combine DVI's digital video with an analog
audio source to create HDMI without an advance analog to digital converter
to process the analog source into digital. It's a good idea, but I don't
we're going to see any simple solutions anytime soon.
