Comcast came over today to hook up our tenant's cable modem and TV.
For some reason, the Comcast technician took my dedicated cable modem line and used it to add on the tenant's TV AND cable modem.
So my cable modem isn't a dedicated line any more. It was put on a dedicated line a while back to resolve connectivity issues. The technician at the time told me that he labeled it so that future technicians would not disconnect it.
Guess that plan didn't work out too well.
I just got off the phone with Comcast and the rep informed me that he could not send out a technician to put back my dedicated line, but could send someone out to BOOST the line.
What?
Why can't they put things back the way they found them?
Was it too much work for today's installer to run a new line? He wouldn't even have had to run a new line, there already was a line right there.
I'll have to report back next week on the resolution to this saga.
