"FCP is a 'Pro App' and won't handle H.264, mpegs, along with many other compressions. You will need to convert them to quicktime compression like you already have. Only other option is to edit with iMovie."Ah ha. No wonder why I can't inport H.264 movies into FinalCutPro.
