That's 195 days of Democrats going at each other.
At this rate the Democrats will spend more time campaigning against each other to get the nomination, than to defeat the opposition candidate.

There are 68 days between the Democratic Convention and Election Day.
That's 68 days that the Democratic candidate can campaign against the Republican, and any Independent candidate.

Superdelegates will move to Obama
William Kristol writes about my favorite topic, the free thinking, mind changing superdelegtes Obama’s Path to Victory - New York Times:
I’ll avoid a false precision in the numbers that follow. There are minor differences among news organizations in projecting delegate allocations in states that have already voted, and in counting preferences among the 796 elected officials and party leaders — the “superdelegates” — who vote according to their choice, not voters’ instruction.He goes on to talk about judgement:
Obama leads Clinton by roughly 70 delegates among about 2,000 chosen so far in primaries and caucuses. (There are still about 1,200 delegates outstanding.) Among the superdelegates, Clinton is ahead by about 100 superdelegates among the 300 who have declared a preference (though any of them can change their mind, so a count of them now is in large measure premature).
"Many of these superdelegates are elected officials. They tend to care about winning in November. The polls suggest Obama matches up better with John McCain. And the polls are merely echoing the judgment of almost every Democratic elected official from a competitive district or a swing state with whom I’ve spoken. They would virtually all prefer Obama at the top of the ticket.
All of this will move the superdelegates to Obama — perhaps as early as just after March 4, or perhaps not until April 22, or perhaps not even until the last match-up on June 7. But the superdelegates will want to avoid a situation in which they could be in the position of seeming to override the popular vote, or of resolving a bitter battle over whether and how to count votes from Florida and Michigan, at the convention.
And there are, as a final resort, two super-superdelegates (so to speak) who would have the clout to help Democrats achieve closure: Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi.
If they stepped forward at the right time, they would earn the gratitude of their party. And they might also enjoy contemplating a derivative effect of their good deed — the fall of the house of Clinton."

The Associated Press and other media outlets are trying to tell us they know how many delegates each candidate will get out of Iowa, just as I told you they would in a previous article. Florida and Michigan make the delegate count even more confusing.Bothers me to.
David Redlawsk, an associate professor of political science at the University of Iowa, who teaches a course on the Iowa caucuses, confirmed the numbers the media is projecting for Iowa delegate allocation is nothing more than a prediction. He said it bothers him the media is reporting these numbers as if they are factual since it is very unlikely the final count will be the same after the district level conventions, where delegates to the national convention will be chosen. He also pointed out the super delegate count could also change dramatically since none of them are committed to remain with the candidates they now say they are supporting.

Anonymous Scientology Boston Protest Coverage
I headed over the the Boston Church of Scientology to file some reports for Rocketboom.com
It was cold and rainy with temperatures in the 30's. The group of protesters I saw there looked like a cross between an Improv Everywhere and and Halloween party crowd.
My request for an interview with someone from the Church was not answered.
I streamed three LIVE reports with my Nokia N95 using ATT and Qik:

Since no one else is going to do it, here's the actual pledged Democratic primary delegate count. Why they continue to highlight superdelegates is troubling me. It's like the media wants to hold on to the idea of Hilary Clinton as the front runner.
They should break their reporting down to show actual delegates, and then as a secondary report, put in superdelegates.
At the convention the superdelegates can vote any way they want, and could all then vote for the presumptive favorite candidate.
Maybe I'm wrong, but if there is that possibility, why continue to include superdeledates as the main tally of delegates.
If you see any news outlet excluding superdelegates in their main tally, I'd love to hear about it and send them a thank you note.
The Boston Globe reports the non superdelegte count in the eighth paragraph of this story, Obama sweeps; Huckabee is strong:
Heading into yesterday's contests, Clinton held a small lead over Obama in the delegate count, 1,055 to 998, according to an Associated Press tally, which includes the results of primaries and caucuses, plus a survey of unpledged superdelegates. But Obama's campaign said last night that after his wins, he leads Clinton by about 70 delegates among those awarded in actual contests.At least I think it's the non superdelegate count. Not sure where the number 70 comes from. That's the problem.

Here's some more background on my Massachusetts Primary coverage by cellphone over ATT via Qik to Mogulus:
I got a call on my iPhone tht Corrine was ready to have me go online from Boston, so I put the ear buds in and listened to her over the phone while I started the Qik software on the N95 and got my first guest ready to join me outside.
I went out side and turned n the stream and started reporting from Boston. Then I interviewed my first guest and then towards the end of the interview when I spoke with Corrine it seems like there was an issue and she had to switch to Chuck Olsen and go live with him since the battery on his laptop was dying.
So that stream was saved on Qik, but not stream at the same time to Mogulus. We tried again, and this time I went live and reported for 23 minutes from the streets of Boston out side Boston Beer Works near Fenway park.
The guests spoke about the election and viewers could chat directly to my phone and ask questions.
Throughout the interviews I propped up the N95 with both arms to keep it steady and also used the building as a pseudo tripod.
Having years experience using these small cameras I know where to hold it to get myself in the frame and then turned to my interviewee to get them in the frame.
The sound was good both inside and out.
When I got home I was able to watch the streams and see how they looked. Pretty clear for both audio and video.
Then I turned on The UpTake to see what was online, and it someone was doing a microphone check, so I went to bed nad turned on CNN for election results.
Ironic.

"Economists Hilke Plassmann, Baba Shiv, Antonio Rangel, and psychologist John O'Doherty have come up with one explanation for why that bottle of Opus One tastes better than the usual Mondavi Cabernet: knowing the wine is expensive increases the activity in the medial orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC) and the rostral anterior cortex (rACC), the areas of the brain that experience pleasure. In a recently published paper, Marketing actions can modulate neural representations of experienced pleasantness, they describe an experiment in which they put 11 Caltech graduate students in a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) machine and gave them five samples of Cabernet Sauvignon to taste. They were told that the purpose of the study was to measure the effects of degustation time on perceived flavors. Unknown to the students, there were really only three wines, with two of them being offered twice at different prices ($5 became $45 and $10 became $90). Not only did the subjects report that the more 'expensive' wine tasted better, but their MOFC and rACC showed increased blood oxygen levels when presented with those wines. Interestingly, the portions of the brain associated with taste were not affected, suggesting that the mOFC integrates the 'bottom up' sensory components with the 'top down' expectations, a mechanism similar to the well-known placebo effect."Ha ha. Mmm... wine.

Mary O'Brien, of Pittsfield, a member of the Democratic State Committee, has served as a delegate to the national convention a half-dozen times since the 1980s. Every time, she said, the bulk of the super delegates have fallen in line with the majority of the state voters and the front-runner has emerged, unscathed by a tough convention fight.We are left with 15 superdelegates that need to be identified. Who are they?
"It would not be a sensible move on the part of the super delegates to light any fires under the electorate who make up their constituencies and, in the face of the majority, go against the raw votes in the commonwealth," she said.

Reporting for The UpTake: Massachusetts Primary
Here's a 23:41 video of my LIVE broadcast from Boston Beer Works on Primary night 2/5/08.
It was the first integrated LIVE broadcast between Qik and Mogulus. I was excited to be able to work with both companies to make this happen. Thanks a lot. It gives us a glimpse of the future.
You can go to the page on Qik for this video and see all the comments I was getting while broadcasting live from my Nokia N95-3 cellphone over the 3G network to Qik. Comments people make while I am online get streamed to the phone where I can read them while shooting the video.
The stream was then directed to Mogulus which broadcast my stream live to The UpTake viewers.
After I ended the stream the video was posted to Seesmic, where people could post video replies around the video and have a conversation about it.

Checking the delegate count at USA Today, Time.com, CNN Politics.com and MSNBC.com I can see why people are confused about where the 2008 Presidential primary race stands. While compiling these results two of them changed within 15 minutes. By the time you read this, they'll probably be different. I think all media outlets should EXCLUDE super delegate totals since they can vote any way they want and are not guaranteed to vote they way they might be leaning today.

Why didn't I know about the other races on the Suffolk County ballot?
Here's a video from my polling place. It shows you the four Massachusetts ballots, Democratic, Republican, Green-Rainbow, and Working party.
There are three other races going on in Suffolk county. The first time I heard about them was when I stepped into the polling place. This is outrageous.
I've been asking to see a copy of the ballot for over a week, and all I could fund were presidential candidates.
Here are the other races:

Ward Committee
I left them all blank.
I feel that the electoral process has failed me.

Head over to qik.com/stevegarfield to watch the ten videos I broadcast live from the Obama rally last night in Boston. I started out using the ATT 3G network and then switched to the free WiFi.
People how were watching live could chat with me live as I streamed and I could ajust my coverage based on their comments.
Best moment, when the viewers guided me over to the C-SPAN camera nd I talked to the C-Span cmaera guy for a moment and tehn got my N95 on C-SPAN... Ha ha. When I got home and listened to the audio, I was amazed at the good quality. Steve-Span!
