MegaTweetUp Boston: December 3rd, 2009 - Two World Records

Boston had it's first MegaTweetup on Thursday December 3rd at the Microsoft Research Center in Cambridge.

Organized by Joselin Mane, this event ended up with 404 people registered. That's pretty amazing for a first time event. It reflects the interest that the attendees have in getting out and meeting each other in person.

Social media helps people engage with each other online and leads to real life interactions.

The numer of sponsors, partners and volunters was impressive. 100% of hte proceeds went to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. You can always donate online.


I was happy to help Joselin organize the event and MC two parts of the program, attempts at Universal Record Database World Records:

1. Largest Group To Check In At The Same Venue On Foursquare At Once

2. Most Photos at the Same Time of the Same Thing from a Tweetup.
