"BOSTON -- Two veteran state politicians favored to win their party's nominations in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat held by the late Edward M. Kennedy were victorious Tuesday night.More like head-to-head-to-head. There's a third candidate in the race, Joe Kennedy.
Democrat Martha Coakley, the state's attorney general, and Republican Scott Brown, a state senator, were declared the primary winners. They will go head-to-head in the Jan. 19 special election."
